American Pioneer Ventures (APV) is a strategic consulting firm founded in 2006 by Dan Hussain and Steve Malliaris, two entrepreneurial MIT engineers with the vision to help fellow inventors turn their ideas into successful ventures. American Pioneer Ventures has an outstanding team of scientific, business, legal, and financial advisers, as well as partnership networks established across multiple industries internationally.

Enterprise Ventures Corporation is a for-profit organization that acts as the technology commercialization arm for CTC. The mission of EVC is to transfer advanced technologies to industry and to deliver high-technology products and services to their clients. EVC Construction and Management Services provides comprehensive professional services for the planning, design, and construction of projects from concept to closeout.

The Franatech team has 14 years of experience in underwater gas detection, supported by patents, technology awards, participation in international projects and numerous publications. Franatech sensors are used worldwide for various applications, including hydrate research, underground tunneling, offshore oil and gas exploration activities, offshore installations safety and integrity surveys, lake ecosystems research, climate research, deep-water oceanology, groundwater quality monitoring, and landfill leachate monitoring. Franatech introduced the first practical sensor for methane monitoring and detection underwater in 1999 and continues to innovate in the field.

The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds is a grant-making foundation that invests in efforts to protect healthy, natural streams around the state, and to clean up pollution and repair damaged wildlife habitat. To date, they have assisted more than 150 different groups, funded more than $6.7 million in projects and leveraged more than $117 million in additional investments to restore more than 700 miles of polluted streams and rivers. Their mission is to foster stewardship for the protection, preservation and restoration of Pennsylvania’s unique water resources.

They currently serve as General Counsel to APV and to several of APV’s other portfolio companies. Dennis Piper is a CPA with over 20 years of experience in providing business advisory, tax compliance and tax consulting services to corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, estates and trusts, not-for-profits, and pension plans.
