Downhole Monitoring
Typical Downhole Monitoring uses sensors to detect the presence of oil and natural gas in or near the borehole while the well is being drilled. These sensors attach to the drill rig to monitor the rock formation, the mud, and the borehole itself. HydroConfidence takes this one step further by utilizing a sensor network to monitor the pressure and flow of gas and liquid within horizontal pipeline to allow the well producer to optimize production.
The system will also monitor the well’s mechanical integrity and detect problems in casing or cement. The HydroConfidence sensors will generate data on underground geology to provide a map of natural gas flows, water resources, and other geologic formations to ease future drilling operations.
